Focus on what it feels like when your heart is open. What does it feel like when its closed. Generally emotions of happiness, joy, excitement etc are connected to an open heart while sadness, depression, blame, shame and guilt are connected to the heart closed.

    FEEL it, what does it feel like. Get in touch so that you can be responsible for OPENING it and living with it open. It sounds good and is simple but it certainly isn’t easy. Once we let the feeling fall into an emotion it becomes more difficult to open. If you still don’t open then the emotion is connected to a multitude of thoughts and memories (stories), just more glue to keep the heart closed.

    How do you open?
    Breath into the heart space, give up and let go of the feelings, if too late then let go of emotions that lend itself to closing down/shutting down.

    No need to analyze. Analyzing (chewing on) thoughts lends itself to clsoing the heart. As human beings we are always seeking the best story, the best reason to either remain closed or to open. This is a real problem if you are truly committed to living with an open heart. A heart where energy freely flows. Using a Landmark Education distinction – UNREASONABLE; for no reason. Practice letting go FOR NO REASON.

    The root of most of your MIND in the matter is SHAME and GUILT. Some form of it, drilled down it comes to fear. LET GO, practice letting go.

    Eckhart Tolle believes we create and maintain problems because they give us a sense of identity. Perhaps this explains why we often hold onto our pain far beyond its ability to serve us.

    We replay past mistakes over and over again in our head, allowing feelings of shame and regret to shape our actions in the present. We cling to frustration and worry about the future, as if the act of fixation somehow gives us power. We hold stress in our minds and bodies, potentially creating serious health issues, and accept that state of tension as the norm.

    There will never be a time when life is simple. There will always be time to practice accepting that. Every moment is a chance to let go and feel peaceful.
